Hi, I'm Sheri Walker — a working mom of two, a Respiratory Therapist, and a passionate home DIYer based in South Surrey, BC.

Since 2017 I've been updating fixer-uppers — first our townhouse, and now our detached home. Every wall painted, every repair patched, every décor install figured out has taught me something. And the biggest thing I've learned? You don't need to be an expert to create a home you're proud of. You just need someone to show you how.

I started Home DIYs for Busy Women because I know exactly what it feels like to stare at a blank wall and feel overwhelmed. I also know the incredible feeling on the other side of finishing that project yourself.

Do I need any DIY experience to join?

Not at all. This workshop is designed specifically for beginners and women who feel intimidated. We start from scratch — no experience, no special tools required before you sign up.

What if I can't make the live session?

Reach out to [email protected] and we'll do our best to accommodate you. The workbook is yours to keep regardless.

Will this work for my type of wall?

Yes! The workshop covers painted accent walls and includes a real example from my own living room with a fireplace wall — one of the trickier scenarios. The principles apply to any standard interior wall.

How long will it actually take me to do the project after?

I recommend budgeting one weekend — Day 1 for gathering materials and prepping the wall, Day 2 for painting or installing. It's designed to fit into a busy mom's schedule, not take it over.

Is this just for painting, or does it cover other accent wall styles?

This workshop focuses on the painted accent wall — the most accessible, high-impact, and beginner-friendly option. Future workshops will cover additional styles. This is the perfect starting point.
